Automotive Interior

Needle-punched automotive interior fabrics can be classified into the following three major categories based on their applications:

1. Decorative fabrics, automotive headliners, automotive carpets, and door panel trim fabrics.
2. Linings, sound insulation materials, carpet underlays, etc.
3. Filters, gaskets, mudguards, etc.

Automotive carpets represent the largest volume of automotive interior fabrics used. They are primarily made of materials such as polyester and nylon fibers, with a weight mostly ranging from 300 to 500 grams per square meter. For the selection of materials and needle types for this product, please refer to the previously listed linoleum base fabric.

Needle-punched automotive headliners are currently in the initial production stage in China, but they are already widely used in Europe and other foreign countries. Among these, polyester products of 3 to 6 denier with a weight of approximately 200 grams per square meter are the most common. A typical process involves blending them with low-melting-point polyester fibers.

Automotive carpets are made from recycled fibers. There are many types of these fibers, which vary depending on the vehicle's purpose and whether that specific part requires molding treatment.
